SOLUTION
IV is infact good when you are getting dehydrated and cannot hold anything inside your stomach. Mouth nundi lopalaki emi vellakapothe, IV is the best solution to keep you hydrated. it is good both for u and the baby. 24 hrs varaku if u not properly urinating and cannot hold any fluids docs usually suggest this.

don’t worry, its just some mineral/vitamin water going into your body, u will feel rejuvenated.

QUERY REGARDING DRY FRUITS:

Hi Gals, is it necessary to have dry fruits during pregnancy? iam not able to take them. as i don’t like dry fruits at all.. any suggestions.

SOLUTION

dry fruits are good especially badam and walnuts but if u dont like them dont force yourself to eat them. If you have problems eating them and still want to consume it, try mixing badam powder to your milk. Don’t get the store bought ones because it has that strong badam smell. Rather ask your mom to powder it at home or if you wantyou can do it yourself.

Gestational Diabetes

GESTATIONAL DIABETES:

pregnant ga unnappudu vache gestational diabetes delivery avvagane taggipothundhii!!,but meeru teesukunee food(milk etc) lo sugar veesukovaddu,instead use 0 calorie sugar,and cut off sweets also,in case meeru milk ottiga taagaleka pothe,mother horlicks ani unthundhii(not sure whether we get in us),kani teppinchukoovachu india nunchi,inka include half an hour walk daily.

SOLUTION 2

,insulin,diet control,light exercise will help u,once u deliver the baby ee diabetes kuda potundi,but strict sugar levels maintain cheyandi as well as follow d diet as d dietician schedule,small quantities of food ekkuva sarlu tesukovali,mostly mee dialy req 1600cal ivvochu,anyway vallu mee ht n wt ni batti calculate chesi istaru,btw how many weeks r u now?

SOLUTION 3:

na two pregnancies ki na gestational diabetes. There is nothing to worry. You just need to follow the diet. Do not eat rice as much as possible. Doctor tells you to meet dietician for your diet and they will tell about your diet schedule. There is nothing to worry

Nenu Rice tinadamu manesanu. I used to eat like below to control my reading. No need to take insulin if you are controlled your reading. You have to test 4 to 5 times per day. You have to eat every 2 hours.

1. At 8.am. –Break fast — a big cup of milk and 1 wheat bread slice with no sugar jam.

2. At 10 am — Oka pidikadu nuts or an omlete.

3. 12 noon — two chapathi small ones with non veg curry and vegetable curry . I used to have curd too.

4.3 pm — two eggs omlet. or Glucerna drink (you can find it in Pharmacy)

5 Between 6 pm 7.30 — I used to have my dinner.like lunch.

6. 9 pm — a few nuts and a big cup of milk.

About feeling full and vomitting sensation..Be rest assured tht itz a positive sign! Eat what u feel like but make sure u drink fluids. U’ll feel like throwing up if u drink water…so ask ur doc if u can drink flavored water. Itz just a passing phase and before u know u wud be eating everything under the sun

Lotsa preggie women have had maggi but andulo MSG/Ajinomoto vundi. So itz better to avoid it. Occasionalga tintey no probs anukunta…But ask ur doc abt whether u can eat MSG. Maa doc ayithey wanted me to avoid it.

Preggies n nursing moms…
Chinese restaurantslo make sure they make ur food without MSG.

A Few Cautions..

1st trimester:usually chala mandiki morning sickness valla vomotings ekkuva avutuntay.take biscuits n toasts koncham dry ga untay kabatti better avtundi,mari baga undi neerasam aite matram meet your doc they will give u IV,n take vitamin supplements,especiallly during first trimester folic acid it will prevent spinal cord problems in baby.
next at any time during preggie if you have vaginal bleeding meet your doc immediately
check your weight regularly if u gain more than 5lbs per month meet your doc
at any time during preggie if you have swollen legs after getting up from bed i mean after 12hrs of rest take your doc appointment.
if u have vision problems n not able to pass urine for 24hrs meet doc
regarding diet other than increased amounts of caffeine,tea u can take anything u want,even papaya also nothing will happen
cut down your alcoholic n smoking habits totally,of course manaki undavanukondi,but still
don’t take very hot tub baths n sternous exercises during 1st trimester it my lead to miscarriage
IC s ur choice there s no prob u can have until 3rd trimester b4 1 r 2 months of your EDD,if u are comfortable.

Diet Suggestions for pregnant women


1 st member:
first of all you have to divide your 3 mealtime in to 7 meal times
wake up at 7am n stay on bed but sit on the bed and take 10 long breaths
have little breakfast at 8am along with 1cup of milk or ragi malt
at 10am you can have some juice
at 12:30 pm you can have lunch
if u don’t like plain curd you can have some veg raithas or fruit raithas
at 3pm you have to have fruits
if you won’t like one fruit u can have combinations like banana n apple;apple ,orange,grapes;strawberry n banana
at 5 pm you can have some snacks
at evening take some small walk
at 8pm can have light dinner
you can finish your diet table by having 1 more cup of warm milk

what ever you take ,take little amounts

drink lot of water ,water purifies not only ur health but also ur baby’s

2 nd member:
Healthy, good for the baby food….like told by amma: (vegetarian dietki matrame choppagalanu).
- Fruits (skip papaya)
- vegetables(try avoiding too much of brinjal/aubergine/eggplant)
- skip sesame seed during the first few months and avoid too much of it in the later months.
- Skip lettuce in the early months
- Load up on plenty of soaked green gram(naanapettina pesalu..molakalu kattivundaali). they are supposed to be very very good for the baby’s brain cell development….for smart babies annamaata
- almonds(2-3) and dry anjur(1) soaked overnight. Eat this first thing in the morning with a large glass of milk.
- kumkum poovu(kesar) manchidi antaaru, but ala ani too muchga thesukovadam avoid cheyyandi. if u take too much of it, body heat chala ekkuvaithundi. so be careful.
- dont miss having a minimum of a spoon of ghee everyday.
- you have to skip certain types of fish and cheese. I am not sure which exact variety of u should avoid. U can check it up on the google, maybe.

3 rd member:

Here are some diet suggestions for you all:

1. Calcium — low fat milk, yogurt
2. Fiber — green salad , cucumber, carrot, fresh vegetables sabzi
3. Protien - egg (only white part), dals, fish
4. Plenty of water and orange juice.
5. few dry nuts (almonds, walnuts and pista)
6. Chapathi and little rice.

Breakfast : cereals with milk.
After 1-2 hrs : eat indian breakfast (upma , idli, dosa etc)

Around 12 noon : green salad ( make sure that the veggies are washed many times if eating raw salad)
Around 1pm lunch - rice ( general curries and light dal)
Walk for 10 mins

Around 3 pm : dry nuts, fruits

Around 4 PM : do pregnacy aerobics and yoga (alternative days) for 20 mins
Around 5 pm : Milk (no coffee, tea)

Around 7-8 pm : dinner
Walk for 10 mins

9PM : go to bed.

Keeping your stomach empty may cause nausea.

reduce salt intake.

According to the baby’s growth in every week , follow the diet.

Eg. 15 week : baby’s brain development : Eat fish
12 week : baby’s eye development : Eat lots of carrots
monitor the weight every week.

Avoid these stuff:

1)Pineapple
2 papaya(Americians thinamantaru better avoid it)
3)Sesame seeds
