Diet Suggestions for pregnant women


1 st member:
first of all you have to divide your 3 mealtime in to 7 meal times
wake up at 7am n stay on bed but sit on the bed and take 10 long breaths
have little breakfast at 8am along with 1cup of milk or ragi malt
at 10am you can have some juice
at 12:30 pm you can have lunch
if u don’t like plain curd you can have some veg raithas or fruit raithas
at 3pm you have to have fruits
if you won’t like one fruit u can have combinations like banana n apple;apple ,orange,grapes;strawberry n banana
at 5 pm you can have some snacks
at evening take some small walk
at 8pm can have light dinner
you can finish your diet table by having 1 more cup of warm milk

what ever you take ,take little amounts

drink lot of water ,water purifies not only ur health but also ur baby’s

2 nd member:
Healthy, good for the baby food….like told by amma: (vegetarian dietki matrame choppagalanu).
- Fruits (skip papaya)
- vegetables(try avoiding too much of brinjal/aubergine/eggplant)
- skip sesame seed during the first few months and avoid too much of it in the later months.
- Skip lettuce in the early months
- Load up on plenty of soaked green gram(naanapettina pesalu..molakalu kattivundaali). they are supposed to be very very good for the baby’s brain cell development….for smart babies annamaata
- almonds(2-3) and dry anjur(1) soaked overnight. Eat this first thing in the morning with a large glass of milk.
- kumkum poovu(kesar) manchidi antaaru, but ala ani too muchga thesukovadam avoid cheyyandi. if u take too much of it, body heat chala ekkuvaithundi. so be careful.
- dont miss having a minimum of a spoon of ghee everyday.
- you have to skip certain types of fish and cheese. I am not sure which exact variety of u should avoid. U can check it up on the google, maybe.

3 rd member:

Here are some diet suggestions for you all:

1. Calcium — low fat milk, yogurt
2. Fiber — green salad , cucumber, carrot, fresh vegetables sabzi
3. Protien - egg (only white part), dals, fish
4. Plenty of water and orange juice.
5. few dry nuts (almonds, walnuts and pista)
6. Chapathi and little rice.

Breakfast : cereals with milk.
After 1-2 hrs : eat indian breakfast (upma , idli, dosa etc)

Around 12 noon : green salad ( make sure that the veggies are washed many times if eating raw salad)
Around 1pm lunch - rice ( general curries and light dal)
Walk for 10 mins

Around 3 pm : dry nuts, fruits

Around 4 PM : do pregnacy aerobics and yoga (alternative days) for 20 mins
Around 5 pm : Milk (no coffee, tea)

Around 7-8 pm : dinner
Walk for 10 mins

9PM : go to bed.

Keeping your stomach empty may cause nausea.

reduce salt intake.

According to the baby’s growth in every week , follow the diet.

Eg. 15 week : baby’s brain development : Eat fish
12 week : baby’s eye development : Eat lots of carrots
monitor the weight every week.

Avoid these stuff:

1)Pineapple
2 papaya(Americians thinamantaru better avoid it)
3)Sesame seeds
4)Fish(Mercury yekkavva vunnayyi avoid cheyyali..Nenu ayythey fish asallu thinathamledu)
5)Noodles
6aginamoto
