nenu first GD test pass ayanu but doctor said I was only few points below the border line.so ipudu 35 weeks ki malla cheyinchukomandi. to my surprise, I failed the test. 140 border line ata. naku ipudu 158 vundi. yela vachindo no idea. I wasn't eating any Indian breakfast, sweets and rice kuda past few months nunchi baga thaginchesanu. maa family lo kuda yevairki ledu and walk kuda chesthuna but looks like nothing really helped
so, ipudu nenu 3 hour GD test thisukovali. my worry is not that I've to take the test but diet follow avali, ramya anatu thakuva thinali ante naa valla kadu. alaga kadupunindakunda nighties nidrapovali ante, ipude bayam vesthundi.

Diabetes test was a disaster yesterday :((((((

Gals..ninna nenu 2nd glucose test ki vellanu...total 16 hrs fasting undalsi vachindhi...and test procedure madhya lo i threw up 3 times after drinking the glucose drink when they particularly asked me not to throw up...becos the results will not come accurate...

ipudu naa result ela vasthundho emo report ani chala tension ga undhi...

first time glucose test report was very high..140 below undalsindhi..5 levels ekkuvaga 191 undhi.. ipudu ela vasthundho result ani tension ga undhi konchem..if they ask me to come for the same procedure again..i cant go through it again..naaku em cheyalo ardam kavatledu.. any suggestions gals..

Gals..meeku few weeks before cheppanu..that i had gone through the gestational Diabetes test and it went very disasterly bad but later the doc called told me that the results were fine ani..
So i was very happy since i got the call that the results were fine ...But sadly when i went for my regular appointment last week..the doc told that ..That Actually she was confused abt my test result and she doubts that i might have a risk of GD..and asked be to see a dietician immediately...
So yesterday i went to see a Dietician nurse and she gave me a Blood glucose monitor..and asked me to do the test my self for 4 times a day..
So ninna night nundi adi start chesanuu...and to my surprise...yesterday night i ate only 1 vegetable whole grain sand wich for dinner and my glucose level was at the border...of the normal range[just 1 veg sandwich]

and ipudu Morning fast test before break fast chesanu..and the result is high than normal range...and after bf [oats]was more more more more higher than the normal range..i simply just felt like crying at that moment when i saw the blood sugar level... chala minimum Quantity thinnanu..but still it showed veryyyyyy high..naaku aakali kuda theera ledu and iam feeling very nauseous..and feel so dizzy and tired..
this tuesday i have an apnt with the Actual Dietician(not the nurse)..So seeing my week results..she will suggest alternate food or might ask me take insulin every day..Just praying GOD that my baby should be fine as the doc told that my baby might get affected with my GD condition..Just relying on BABA right now

It is not advisable to manage test results by eating less.... or eating specific foods... meeru mamuluga tinali... forget about results .. just et normal and do the needful... if u really have GD , it needs to be treated rather than escaping it... u need to have a balanced diet... avoid sugary foods like chocolates , but roju tine chapati, doas, rice ilantivi manakandi... mamuluga tini , appudu sugar levels high unte , doc will surely treat it.. GD is very much treatable.. known affects of GD is usually a heavy baby... ante...

so trust the doc and God... you will be fine

I went through same phase..don't be panic....tinakunda undaduu meku entha kavalo antha tinandii results di emundii ...even i use to cry oka slice tinaa enti ee result anii ... nenu 1 week result normal ravali anii mcdonalds lo salad tinaa enni carbos unayoo count chesii aa debba ki i lost weight..so doctor inka nuvu ila tinakunda unte kudaraduu ani insulin ichindii...neku nachinantha tinuu insulin vesuko anaruu...inka end of the pregnancy ki babyneeds perugutayii so u should not stop eating anii...kani takuva units insulin e lendii danitho manage chesesaa....so emi worry avaduu ...sweets cut chesesii... small small portions ga tinandii edi tinaa ... i stopped sugar in milk ..ee sweeteners use cheyaleduu nenu ...dietician baga suggest chestaruu nothing to worry at all...ipudu ee GD andariki common ayipoyindii ...
will give u sample meal plan which i followed..

8 am - milk 1 cup without sugar
9-9:30 - 2 croissants with omlet or pesaratuu
11 - nuts or cucumber
12:30 - 1 cup of rice with dal & some vegetable fry
2-2.30- 1 cup curd
4- fruit( orange mostly)
5 -1 cup milk with roast & powdered badam,cashew powder
7-2 chapathi with dal & some fry..early dinner
1 hr walk
again 1 fruit or cup of curd
before going to bed 1 cup of milk

so ee last few months careful ga unte baby ki manchidii baby kosam ivi anni tappaduu ..breakfast ,lunch, dinner tarvatha nadustu undandii it help u lot

But iam ready to adjust with this lil amt of food for my healthy baby...even iam ready to bear the nausea and dizzyness and tired ness ...But only thing which i feel tensed is..after eaitng all such calculated food..the bloog sugar levels shows high.. sadly

what was your fasting sugar? are you maintaining a log for your daily sugar levels? Maintain a log of what you are eating everytime even snacks and amount of water you are drinking.

Dont worry. It all depends on your fasting sugar. if your fasting sugar is between 70-95 then it means your body can tolerate excess sugar..if not you would need to take insulin during night time..so that fasting sugar levels are within range. Its very essential for you to not to panic at this moment. Any amount of stress will increase your sugar levels. Try to be happy and calm as much as possible..because you are doing this all hard work for your little one.

speak to your dietician and tell him/her about your diet preferences...some dieticians give american diet and some also prefer indian diet. My dietician gave me freedom to eat all kind of indian stuff..except for pappu annam.

i went through all that and now i have my son...ITS WORTH THE EFFORT!! Dont be afraid...trust me

GD ani low carb teesukovaddu...low carb tinte body lo fat twaraga burn avutundi....which is NOT good at this time....ee time lo fats kuda chala important....and fat burn ayithe ketones anevi form avutayi which is also not good for the baby...ivanni naku last week ma colleague cheppindi...tanaki GD undi...white rice badulu u can have brown rice....brown basmati baguntayi...not sticky at all...and basmati has low GI compared to sona masoori...take care

naa personal experience.. I had GD during my second baby, and brown basmati rice really helped me, only thing is curry quantity ekkuva padutundi, but again its good for health kada, ekkuva kuralu tinte. Naa sugar levels chaala control ga vundevi, along with that, if u r a nonveggie, then eat eggs and chicken with every meal. my doctor praised me coz my baby had normal weight, she was not a big baby. normally GD vunte, babies konchem plumpy ga putte chances vuntayani antaru

Its a normal delivery

you have to avoid eating carbs before the glucose test. Dosa is full of carbs only. Instead of that..eat protein rich food like a boiled egg..if u dont eat boiled egg..eat a single slice of multi grain bread with peanut butter.

I have GD so i know what i did wrong. Two weeks back before the test you should increase the protein content. and less carbs. Do not eat fruits first thing in the morning.

the 3 hr test is really horrible but many people pass it even when they have failed the 1 hr. so dont worry. even if you fail the test, do not worry at all...you can easily control it with proper diet. I have controlled mine with just diet

daniki mundu emanna precaurtions teesukovala? my doc asked me to cut down on rice, chapati, sweets n sweet food till i give the test.. moreover india lo koncham baagane tinesanu bcoz of pampering n functions... so i m praying god, i shd pass this test.

inka updates from my side ante.. am in 29th week now. doc said i am doing perfectly fine and one more good news is.. b4 my india trip my cervical length was noted as 2.9cm which is 0.1cm less than the minimum required length n bcoz of tht my doc asked me to relax completely n not to walk or stand for long time during my stay in india... i followed exactly wht she said and now my cervical length increased to 3.7cm which acc to my doc is a very good improvement. Now,i can get back to my routine, walking, home work etc... naku aa 1 month idle ga, ee pani lekunda assalu tochaledu... now i am happy i can do my own work...

what Visa said is exactly true. GTT results depends up on the icapability of producing insulin in our body. Most of them say that we are more likely to b affected if our grandparents had diabetes. I too didnt take anything b4 going to test..Iam on fasting for 6-8 hrs i guess. dont worry you parents will get thhe visa. Baba wl take ccare of you
