MSG in pregnancy

pregnant women shud not eat ajinomoto because, ajinomoto causes disorders in nervous system... its name is monosodium glutamate... its a flavour enhancer used in chinese items and other foods, but it shud be used in minute quantities...

the rule is 5gm per 500 gms of food..... but hotels use it in excess quantities because it increases the pungency of the food..and also its addictive...

monosodium glutamate, is also in Lays chips, lehar namkeens, kukure, etc and other ready snacks like that... avoid them in pregnancy and otherwise also... if you want , do check on lays packet, it has '' contains monosodium glutamate'' written on it... also do not give these snacks to children less than 3 yrs... affects central nervous system...

very bad for health....

mari china lo ajinomoto common kada, ante, yes they use it but they use it in moderation...

go to a chinese authentic restaurant, and then to a multicuisine restaurant serving chinese food... there will be a lot of difference...

other side effects :
makes you feel excessively thirsty,
causes dehydration
very addictive, proven addictive properties like that of marijuana or nicotine
affects CNS

hope that clears ... your doubts...

for more info on monosodium glutamate, pls do google it... you'll never touch packed potato chips, and packed namkeen snacks , if you read...

vatillo undadu...MSG is added in namkeens, kurkure, chips, instant soups, ante knorr, lantivi, instant pasta, instant, noodles... all instant foods, even though they claim they are real vegetables, no added msg ani... and all cheetos, corn rings etc... all those...

noodles, pasta vidiga dorukutayi , get them, it takes more time to add veggies and cook them but they are better in nutrition...

dosa batter parvaledu... but then it pays to make the batter at home., def home made is better... u will know when you made it and will eat before it goes bad...

still its ok for idly and dosa batters, they dont have MSG
